The central idea of this poem is the benefits of peace and the harms of fighting. The poetess Jane Taylor says that two kittens fought and were swept out of the room in cold, by the woman. But when they became calm and peaceful, they enjoyed sitting in the cozy room, near the fire on a cold and stormy night.
